We had Gracie's two week pediatrican appointment today and we have to brag: in addition to nearly being back at her birth weight of 8 lbs, 14 oz (just one ounce to go!) which puts her at the 75th percentile at her age, she's grown one-half inch to put her at 22 in., in the 90th percentile! Her head circumference is 15 in., also in the 90th percentile!
She's already met a couple of the developmental milestones the pediatrician said to expect at two months, when our next appointment will be. We've demonstrated one of them in the attached video -- holding up her head on her own -- and she's able to control her head pretty well, also.
She was diagnosed with thrush, a common condition that involves too much yeast in her system. We're treating that with an oral medication and an ointment.
We switched her formula with the doctor's blessing, and we hope that will address some of her gassiness/crankiness issues.
Our little Gracie continues to bring her daddies (and grandma, who is still here, much to our delight!) much joy and pride!!
Glad to hear that all went well. That is some little girl you have there!! But then...you already know that!
